Careflo™ Knows that a well trained workforce is one that is confident, content and compliant. We provide a comprehensive training programme with on going assessments in line with the Care Act 2014 obtaining an accredited Care Certificate,  this will give you the skills to provide a high level of empathetic care. Our courses are available to other care providers and businesses across the south west. See 'services' at the bottom of this page.


To work effectively, safely and empathetically, all potential staff attend our tailored Careflo™ training programme. Courses are directed specifically at care in the home and comply with theCare Act 2014 which reflects the new well being principle, meeting care quality commission standards.

Moving and handling , infection control and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults are a few of the training requirements of care staff. Healthcare training professionals will work with you to ensure all training you receive is relevant and address any issues you have. 

The training programme consists;

  • Manual Handling of People
  • Infection Control Training
  • Health and Safety
  • Food Hygiene
  • First Aid
  • Safeguarding Adults at Risk : SAAR Training
  • Safe Handling of Medicines
  • Role of the Care worker
  • Communication and confidentiality

The training programme begins with 4 mandatory subjects taught over 3 days followed by shadowing an experienced trained professional in the field. This is the very beginning of a carers career journey. New carer's complete the care certificate which sets out clearly the learning outcomes, competences and standards of care. 

There are 15 Standards of care covered in the certificate which will be achieved by the carer in the field supported by a senior experienced assessor/mentor. 

We strongly believe a well trained team demonstrate beyond question care and compassion, providing a quality of service to users that is second to none. 

  Once the care certificate has been achieved to a high standard,  you can go on to embark on the care diploma which addresses training in areas of specialist care or management, helping to open doors into other career opportunities within the care sector.
